Antique 1886 Longmans’ School Geography – George G. Chisholm

A wonderful original Victorian school geography book dating from 1886, now around 140 years old.

This beautiful old book is filled with Victorian-era geographical information, statistics and detailed black and white illustrations. The pages have a lovely naturally aged appearance and include illustrations of landscapes, buildings, people and places from around the world.

The original red hardcover features gilt lettering to the front, with further lettering along the spine. There is also some wonderful handwritten history inside the book, including an inscription dated July 21st 1887.

A beautiful source of authentic Victorian paper, text and illustrations for junk journals, collage, altered books, mixed media and other paper craft projects.
