Authentic Antique French Handwritten Notarial Document – 1871 - SY

An original handwritten French notarial document dated 19 February 1871.

Titled “Obligation”, the document records a formal financial agreement drawn up before a notary in Sainte-Livrade, France. It contains several pages of beautiful handwritten French script, an original revenue stamp, official stamps and registration markings, and retains its original patterned paper cover and red thread binding.

A wonderful piece of authentic 19th-century French ephemera, with lovely details throughout for collectors or for use in junk journals, collage, altered books and other paper craft projects.

This is a genuine antique document more than 150 years old and shows age and wear including marks, discolouration, folds, worn edges and small tears. Please check the photos carefully for condition.
